About the Institution

The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad, is a Category I Deemed-to-be University accredited with NAAC ‘A++’ Grade. Its ICFAI Law School is recognized by the Bar Council of India and offers a wide range of programs including B.A.-LLB (Hons.), B.B.A.-LLB (Hons.), LL.M., Ph.D. (Law), and certificate courses. About Shri N.J. Yasaswy

Shri N.J. Yasaswy (1950–2011), founder of the ICFAI Group, was a visionary leader known for his integrity, wisdom, and service to society. His guiding principle was: “Ours is a private effort with a public purpose.” The moot court competition commemorates his legacy of academic excellence and legal advocacy.

About the Competition

The 11th Shri N.J. Yasaswy Memorial Moot Court Competition continues the tradition of excellence in advocacy. Previous editions have included collaborations with the Bar Council of India and international participation. The 2026 edition promises rigorous rounds and academic engagement.

Rounds:

• Two Preliminary Rounds (each team argues both sides)
• Quarter-Finals (knockout)
• Semi-Finals (knockout)
• Finals

Team Composition: 2 Speakers + 1 Researcher

Memorial Submission Deadline: 23rd August 2026 (soft copies in Word & PDF; hard copies during physical registration on 4th September 2026).

Clarifications: Requests to be submitted by 9th August 2026.

Awards

• Winner: ₹1,00,000 + Trophy & Merit Certificate
• 1st Runner-Up: ₹50,000 + Trophy & Merit Certificate
• 2nd Runner-Up: ₹20,000 + Trophy & Merit Certificate
• Best Memorial: ₹10,000 + Trophy & Merit Certificate
• Best Researcher: ₹10,000 + Trophy & Merit Certificate
• Best Speaker: ₹10,000 + Trophy & Merit Certificate

All participants will receive certificates and access to Manupatra for memorial research.

Registration

• Early Bird Registration: ₹2,850/-
• Regular Registration: ₹3,450/-
• With Accommodation: ₹5,000/- (Registration fees are non-refundable; liability waiver form mandatory.)
