About the Journal:

The MNLU Mumbai Law Journal is an annual, open‑access publication dedicated to democratizing legal scholarship. It provides a global platform for academicians, practitioners, and students to contribute rigorous research, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and socio‑legal engagement.

Submissions are invited in the following formats:

  • Articles – In‑depth analytical papers.
  • Case Comments – Critical evaluations of judicial pronouncements.
  • Legislative Comments – Reviews of statutes, amendments, or bills.
  • Book Reviews – Scholarly assessments of recent literature in law and social sciences.

Categories of Submissions:

  1. Long Articles – 3,500–10,000 words.
  2. Essays/Short Articles – 1,200–3,500 words.
  3. Case Studies/Legislative Comments – 1,200–3,500 words.
  4. Book Reviews – 1,000–3,000 words.

Guidelines for Authors:

  • Submissions open to Teachers, Academicians, Professionals, Judges, Jurists, Researchers (students may co‑author).
  • Only one co‑author permitted.
  • Follow Bluebook 20th edition citation style.
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, justified text, 1‑inch margins.
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing.
  • Graphics, charts, and tables must be numbered and included in the body.
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and comply with UGC anti‑plagiarism norms (≤10% similarity).
  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the Google Form provided by the University.
  • Each author may submit one manuscript only.

Copyright & Withdrawal:

  • Copyright of all manuscripts rests with MNLU Mumbai.
  • Authors may withdraw submissions by emailing journal@mnlumumbai.edu.in with subject line “Withdrawal of Manuscript” on or before 30th June 2026.

Submission Deadline:

  • May 2026
  • No publication fees.
