The Faculty of Law, ICFAI University Tripura proudly announces the 4th N.J.Y. National Moot Court Competition 2026, to be held from 17th to 19th June 2026 at the University’s campus in Agartala, Tripura.

This competition is organized in memory of Dr. N. J. Yasaswy (1950–2011), a visionary educationist and founder of the ICFAI Group. His legacy continues to inspire the University in nurturing advocates, judges, and citizens committed to justice, integrity, and intellectual rigor.

About ICFAI University Tripura:

Established in 2004, ICFAI University Tripura is a multidisciplinary institution offering 50+ programs across law, management, engineering, health sciences, and liberal arts. The Faculty of Law emphasizes high academic standards, research‑oriented internships, and professional skill development through LL.B, LL.M, and Ph.D. programs.

About Moot Court:

Moot courts replicate real court proceedings, enabling law students to develop advocacy, research, and analytical skills. The competition provides a platform for aspiring lawyers to sharpen their legal proficiencies and gain exposure to courtroom etiquette, dress codes, and formal language.

Competition Highlights:

  • Dates: 17th–19th June 2026
  • Venue: ICFAI University Tripura Campus, Agartala
  • Rounds: Preliminary, Quarter‑Final, Semi‑Final, and Final
  • Eligibility: Students pursuing 3‑year LL.B or 5‑year integrated law programs from BCI‑recognized institutions
  • Team Composition: 2–3 members (Speakers + Researcher)
  • Registration Fee: ₹5999 (including food and lodging)
  • Key Deadlines:
    • Registration opens: 26th February 2026
    • Registration closes: 26th May 2026
    • Memorial submission: 12th June 2026

Awards:

  • Winners: ₹50,000 + Trophy
  • Runners‑Up: ₹30,000 + Trophy
  • Best Speaker (Petitioner & Respondent): ₹5,000 each + Trophy
  • Best Memorial: ₹5,000 + Trophy
  • Best Researcher: ₹5,000 + Trophy
  • Certificates of participation and mementoes will be awarded to all teams.
