About the Centre for Child Rights (CCR):

The Centre for Child Rights (CCR) was established by the Executive Council of National Law University and Judicial Academy (NLUJA), Assam on January 19, 2015, as one of its Centres of Excellence. Officially inaugurated on March 14, 2015, during the National Conference on “Protection of Rights of Children: Issues and Challenges”, CCR has since been dedicated to advanced research, teaching, and advocacy on child rights.

Partnership with UNICEF:

NLUJA Assam collaborates with UNICEF to promote, protect, and fulfil the rights of children in Assam and the North‑East region. This partnership seeks to:

  • Create awareness among communities.
  • Support the State in implementing international human rights instruments, especially the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • Strengthen constitutional and legislative protections for children in India.

About the Iura Pueri Blog:

The Iura Pueri Blog, managed by the Student Editorial Board of CCR, is a platform for informed perspectives on child rights law, policy, and practice. It invites contributions from students, academics, legal professionals, policymakers, and advocates committed to child welfare and justice.

The blog publishes insights on:

  • Child rights advocacy and legal research.
  • Awareness programmes and community engagement.
  • Critical analyses of contemporary challenges affecting children.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Originality: Submissions must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism limit: 15%. AI‑generated or plagiarized content will be rejected.
  • Format: Submit in .doc/.docx format only. Word limit: 1000–2000 words.
  • Co‑authorship: Allowed for up to two authors.
  • Styling: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified text. Endnotes/hyperlinks only (no footnotes).
  • Author Details: Include name, institution/organization, year of study (if applicable), and a short bio (≤50 words) in the email body.
  • Submission Email: Send to ccr@nluassam.ac.in with the subject line clearly mentioning the theme.
  • Review Process: Rolling basis; responses may take up to 4 weeks. Editorial changes may be requested before final acceptance.

  • Submissions are reviewed by the Editorial Board, which retains full discretion to accept or reject at any stage.
  • Relaxations or changes in rules are subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board.
