About NUSRL Ranchi:

The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, established by Act No. 4 of the Jharkhand State Assembly in 2010, is a premier institution recognised by the UGC and the Bar Council of India. Since its inception, the University has grown steadily, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. It is also a member of the CLAT consortium since 2012.

NUSRL offers a five‑year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme, alongside research degrees and specialised diplomas in areas such as Child Rights, Mines & Minerals Law, and Tribal Law. With over 600 students enrolled, the University continues to strengthen its academic and research initiatives, aiming to meet global standards in legal education.

About the Competition:

The Centre for Policies, Laws and Agenda (CPLAN) at NUSRL Ranchi announces the third edition of the Legislative Drafting & Presentation Competition.

This competition is designed to:

• Provide participants with hands‑on experience in legislative drafting.
• Guide them through the process of identifying issues, balancing idealism with pragmatism, and proposing workable solutions.
• Enhance analytical skills, legal interpretation, and the ability to address gaps in existing laws.

The event encourages participation from law students across India, fostering an exchange of ideas and perspectives on contemporary legislative challenges.

Eligibility & Team Composition:

• Open to all students enrolled in recognised colleges or universities.
• No cap on the number of participants from a single institution.
• Entries may be submitted individually or in teams of up to two members.

Registration & Fee Details:

• Single Author: ₹350
• Co‑Authors (max 2): ₹700
• Participants qualifying for Phase I must pay an additional ₹1500 per person for accommodation.

• 2nd Runner‑Up: Trophy + ₹6,000 + Certificate of Merit
• Certificates of Participation for all entrants.
• Phase II qualifiers will receive Certificates of Merit.
• Best five submissions will be published on CPLAN NUSRL’s website.
