Established in 2009, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has emerged as one of India’s leading private universities. Its flagship institution, Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), has consistently earned global recognition, including a QS World Ranking of 35th in Law. JGU is known for fostering international collaborations, interdisciplinary learning, and excellence in legal education.
Founded in 2020, the Jindal Society of International Law (JSIL) is a student-led initiative under the Centre for the Study of United Nations, guided by Faculty Coordinator Professor (Dr.) Vesselin Popovski. The Society provides a vibrant platform for students and scholars to engage with pressing issues in international law, encouraging critical thought and innovative scholarship.
The JSIL Blog is a dynamic space for exploring the complexities of international law in today’s rapidly changing global order. It invites contributors to move beyond traditional doctrinal approaches and critically examine the intersections of law, power, and justice.
In 2026, as global institutions face unprecedented challenges, the Blog seeks to highlight diverse perspectives on authority, legitimacy, and the evolving role of law in addressing humanitarian and geopolitical crises.
