Students for the Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai is privileged to host two distinguished guest lectures by eminent practitioners in International Trade Law as part of the 16th Government Law College International Law Summit 2026.
Speaker: Ms. R. V. Anuradha (Partner, Clarus Law Associates, New Delhi)
Topic: “In the Name of ‘Environment’: The Evolving Landscape of Unilateral Measures Affecting Trade”

Ms. Anuradha co‑founded Clarus Law Associates in 2007 and has worked extensively with both government and private sectors on trade, investments, regulatory, and policy matters. She has also served as external faculty at institutions such as the World Trade Institute, NALSAR, NLSIU, and NLUO. Her lecture will provide insights into the intersection of global commerce and sustainability, exploring how environmental regulatory measures are reshaping trade policies and challenging legal frameworks.

Topic: “The Intersection of Geopolitics and Trade”

Mr. Notani co‑heads the International Trade and Customs practice at ELP. With over two decades of experience, he has advised domestic manufacturers, multinational corporations, exporters, and trade associations in complex trade remedy litigation, WTO disputes, and customs matters. His lecture will examine how geopolitical tensions, supply chain realignments, development concerns, and domestic priorities intersect with WTO obligations and reform debates, offering valuable perspectives on India’s evolving role in the global trading system.
The Summit is open to all students, lawyers, academicians, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
