About Católica Law Review:

The Católica Law Review is a legal journal promoted by the Research Center of the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University and published by the Catholic University Press (UCE).

Designed to showcase texts resulting from high-quality scientific research and reflecting the evolution of legal thought, the Católica Law Review is open to all national and international authors, in accordance with the most demanding international peer review standards.

The journal’s regulations, style guidelines, peer review regulations, and the code of conduct for reviewers are available for consultation at the links above.

Católica Law Review is an international, bilingual, open access and peer-reviewed journal, published by UCP Press. The journal promotes legal research of excellence, in accordance with the most demanding international standards.

The journal will be published quarterly, with three issues per year:

1. Public Law Topics;
2. Private Law Issues;
3. Criminal Law Matters.

You may submit your articles at any time, but be sure to stay alert to upcoming calls for papers.

Call for Papers:

The Católica Law Review accepts the submission of articles prepared by legal researchers (academics, lawyers, doctoral students, and other law graduates), among others. Articles can be written in Portuguese or English. Dissertations and other works prepared by students in the context of master’s and postgraduate programs will only be considered for review if they have undergone substantial revision for publication purposes and comply with the formal requirements set out in the journal’s style guidelines.

Católica Law Review invites the submission of articles for its thematic issue dedicated to the areas of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Administrative Offence Law.
