About the Organizers:

  • NLIU, Bhopal: Established under Act No. 41 of 1997 (substituted by Act No. 06 of 2018), recognized by UGC and BCI; committed to excellence in legal education, research, and training.
  • Legal Aid Clinic (LAC): Student-run initiative inspired by Article 39A, delivering free legal assistance through projects like Saarthi, Aapke Adhikaar, Bail, Pukaar, and Neev; conducts Lok Adalat visits, capacity-building, and legal literacy campaigns.
  • IDIA MP Chapter: Trains and supports underprivileged students for law entrance exams; runs “Law for All” programs and fundraising initiatives; part of the national IDIA network founded by Prof. (Dr.) Shamnad Basheer.

Quiz competition:

About the quiz:

  • Objective: Deepen understanding of India’s rich diversity and constitutional journey.
  • Primary theme: “75 Years of the Indian Constitution.”
  • Sub-themes: Landmark judgments, making of the Constitution, freedom movement, current affairs, elections in India.

Eligibility:

  • Who can participate:
    • School students (Class 9 and above)
    • Undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline
  • Team size: 1–3 participants per team
  • Institutional entries: Multiple teams from the same school/university allowed

  • Fee: ₹500 per team

  • Runner-Up: ₹3,000
  • Second Runner-Up: ₹2,000
  • Additional: Internships for Winners and Runners-Up at the discretion of Zentrum Law Partners

Turncoat debate competition:

About the format:

  • Structure: Individual speaker argues for and against the motion, then concludes.
  • Topics: Given on the spot.

Guidelines:

  1. Participation: Individual only
  2. Preparation time: 5 minutes (prelims), 7 minutes (advanced)
  3. Materials: No phones/laptops; paper notes allowed
  4. Speaking time (prelims):
    • For the motion: 1.5 minutes
    • Against the motion: 1.5 minutes
    • Conclusion: 1 minute
  5. Speaking time (advanced):
    • For the motion: 2.5 minutes
    • Against the motion: 2.5 minutes
    • Conclusion: 2 minutes
