About the Panjab University Law Review (PULR):

The Panjab University Law Review (PULR) is a bi‑annual, peer‑reviewed journal published by the Department of Laws since 1951. Widely circulated in India and abroad, it became a refereed journal from its 50th issue in 2009 (ISSN 0971‑5541). PULR serves as a platform for advancing legal scholarship, encouraging fresh perspectives on contemporary issues, and fostering multidisciplinary dialogue within the legal and socio‑legal domains.

Theme:

The Editorial Board invites unpublished, original manuscripts on any current topic of legal or socio‑legal importance for its upcoming issue (Vol. 64, Part 2, July–Dec 2025).

Categories & Word Limits:

  • Research Paper / Review Article: 5,000–6,000 words
  • Book Review: ~2,500 words
  • Case Comment: ~3,000 words
    (Word limits inclusive of footnotes)

Author Guidelines (Highlights):

  • Manuscripts must follow the official template and formatting requirements.
  • Submissions must include:
    • Covering letter with author details
    • Plagiarism report (≤10% similarity)
    • Certificate of originality
    • Abstract (200–250 words) + 2–5 keywords
  • Manuscripts should be in British English, Times New Roman, 12‑point font, 1.5 spacing.
  • References must follow Bluebook (19th edition) citation style.
  • Blind peer review process strictly followed.
  • Co‑authorship allowed up to 3 authors; only one submission per author.

  • Submission Window: 15 December – 30 December 2025
  • Platform: Open Journal System

  • Only unpublished, original works will be considered.
  • Copyright of published manuscripts will vest with PULR.
  • Contributors will receive a free e‑copy; printed copies available at ₹500.
