• DPIIT- IPR Chair and Centre for Research on Intellectual Property Rights (CeRIP) of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam is organizing a Knowledge series on ‘Practical Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights’, proposed on 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd and 30^th of November, 2022.
• The Centre for Research on Intellectual Property Rights (CeRIP) is established with the objective of enhancing the intellectual property knowledge base and research capabilities of the country with specific focus on the North-Eastern states.
• The knowledge series on the ‘Practical Aspects of Various Intellectual Property Rights’ is organised with the primary objective of dissemination of knowledge on various Intellectual Property Rights. The lecture series aims at addressing practical issues related to various IPRs such as preparation of documents, filing for various IPRs, post filing compliance, maintenance of IPRs, etc.
• The series aims to seek answers to questions such as why are IPRs important; importance of IPRs for start-ups, MSME and academia and the strategies for a timely and cost effective filing of IPRs.

There are four lectures that will be organized as a part of the series on the themes of:

• Patents – importance, identification; prior-art search, patent specification, filing process and post filing follow-up till disposal
• Trademark and Geographical Indications – Importance, identification, registration process & case studies; Activity Copyrights and Industrial Design
• IPR and AI-Powered tools for IP analytics
• Copyrights and Industrial Design – importance, identification, registration and case studies; Activity
