The Legal Aid Clinic, Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Centre Malappuram, Kerala in collaboration with Legal Aid Clinic, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, will host a National Webinar on “RELIGIOUS FREEDOM UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA” to be held on 24th March, 2022 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Relevant Personality

Chief Guest- Hon’ble Mr. Justice K.T. Thomas, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.

In March 1996 he was elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court of India. As a judge of the Supreme Court, he rendered many landmark judgments on Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Law.  After retirement, the Central Bureau of Investigation published a book containing all the important decisions rendered by him in Criminal Law and termed them as trend-setting judgments in India. 

On attainment of the age of 65, he retired from the Supreme Court. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2007 for services in the field of social affairs.
