School of Law and Constitutional Studies (SLCS) is a constituent department of Shobhit University and is approved by the Bar Council of India. SLCS intends to introduce students to the study of law with an emphasis on the Indian Constitution. The school focuses on legal studies with an understanding of how constitutional rules affect political and economic processes. The School was formally inaugurated by Shri Keshri Nath Tripathi Ji, H.E. the Governor of West Bengal, and an eminent Advocate.
Gender-based violence against women and girls remains a global threat to the public health of women and girls during emergencies. During the pandemic when all are confined in their home as a precautionary measure, restrictive movement imposed by the government, social and economic stress is high, the gender-based cyber violence against women and girls is increasing exponentially. The women and girls have been targeted online to induce, coerce, to intimidate or cause fear, anxiety, humiliation and extreme emotional distress. Women and girls are soft targets of the perpetrator of a crime, as they can easily be manipulated as compared to men. While many efforts have been taken to tackle gender-based cyber violence during COVID-19 are at a larger scale globally, but it remains extensive and widely under-reported.
