About the Society of Law and Literature

The Society of Law and Literature of School of Law comprises of Writer’s Club, Quiz Club, Oratory Club, Debating Society, and Youth Parliament Association which aims at training and providing the students of the School of Law with the necessary tools to enhance their knowledge, creative reading, writing skills and help them showcase their other qualities such as photography, theatre, poetry and music in various literary and other competitions across the country; thereby creating an opportunity to enhance their personality. The SOLL aims at providing its members with an environment to enhance ones’ confidence along with creative and legal writing skills. It also focuses on the enhancement of innovative and original ideas of the students being reflected through various competitions in the nature of the book review, judgment writing, law op-ed, paper presentation, poetry, theatre, book writing, etc.

Eligible Student

This competition is open to all the students pursuing Bachelors and Post graduations degree from any College or University recognized in India

Prizes and Awards

• First Prize: INR 7,000 /- and an e-merit certificate
• Second Prize: INR 5,000/- and an e-merit certificate
• Third Prize: INR 3,000/- and an e-merit certificate
• Fourth and Fifth: INR 1,000 /- and an e-merit certificate each
• The top 10 entries will be awarded an e-merit certificate
• The top 20 entries will be compiled and published in the UPES Student Law Review e-journal
• All the participants will be awarded an e-participation certificate
