Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (a Central University) established in 1996 is progressing with mandate of leading quality education and research in the disciplines of–Humanities, Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Business, Law, Education and Environmental Sciences etc. The vision of the University is “to be a dynamic, creative and competitive center of excellence in advanced knowledge, especially relevant for the development of the nation and of the socially, educationally and economically marginalized sections of the society”. The University has obtained 69th rank in overall category and 42nd rank in university category, 78th Rank in Management Institutes Category, 20th Rank in Pharmacy Institutes category and 10th Rank in Law institutes Category in NIRF ranking 2023

The Department of Economics is offering M.A., M.Sc., & Ph.D. programs. The Department is working with a vision of creating global academician and researchers. The department is having advanced infrastructural facility like computer laboratory and library facility with huge collection of national and international books and journals. Further, department has eminent and skilled faculty members to train the students in accordance with the need of the corporate job market. The Department focuses mainly on advanced teaching and research.

The Indian Association of Law and Economics (IALE) was formed at the International Conference on Law and Economics, 3-4 September, 2016 at IIT Kanpur. In the conference, IALE was conceptualized by the Consortium of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad. The Association works on socio-economic-legal and technological challenges relevant at the National and International levels through research initiatives and policy research through conferences, seminars and workshops.

Research Papers are invited for the ICLE, 2023 on the themes of Law and Economics. It will provide an opportunity to discuss interdisciplinary research that will promote scholarship on the Constitution of India and the Rest of the World, and also in the areas of private and business laws.
