About the Organiser

Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies (RILS), Bengaluru, under the aegis of the M.S. Ramaiah Foundation, is committed to value-based holistic education. Affiliated with Karnataka State Law University and approved by the Bar Council of India, RILS offers five-year B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B. programmes, supported by modern infrastructure and academic resources to nurture competent global legal professionals.

About the Competition

The 5th RILS Inter-University Moot Court Competition 2026 will be conducted offline at the RILS campus from 11–13 December 2026. The event is organised by the Moot Court Committee of RILS and aims to provide law students with a platform to refine advocacy, research, and drafting skills.

Eligibility

• Open to bona fide students pursuing three-year or five-year LL.B. programmes.
• Institutions must be recognised by the Bar Council of India.
• Only one team per institution.
• Maximum of 24 teams accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Details

• Teams must complete the registration form attached to the rule book.
• Required documents: Registration Form, Approval/Bonafide Letter (Annexure III), and payment confirmation screenshot.
• Registration is complete only upon submission of all documents and payment proof.
• Deadline: 23 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST.

Prizes

• Winning Team: ₹35,000 + Trophy
• Runner-Up Team: ₹25,000 + Trophy
• Best Memorial: ₹8,000 + Trophy
• Best Speaker: ₹8,000 + Trophy

• Semi-Final, Final & Valedictory Ceremony: 13 December 2026
