About the Organiser:

The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP), NUSRL, Ranchi, invites law students across India to participate in the 3rd National Moot Court Competition on Consumer Protection Laws, 2026, to be held from 27–29 November 2026 at NUSRL, Ranchi.

Organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, the competition offers a national platform for students to engage with contemporary issues in consumer protection law and showcase their skills in research, drafting and oral advocacy.

About the Competition:

The 3rd National Moot Court Competition on Consumer Protection Laws, 2026 is a prestigious National-level Consumer Moot Court Competition, designed to sharpen participants ‘ understanding and application of Consumer Law. It gives law students and aspiring legal professionals a professional platform to study and engage with consumer rights, unfair trade practices, and effective dispute-resolution mechanisms.

The National Moot Court Competition on Consumer Protection Laws aims to encourage academic excellence, critical thinking, and teamwork, while giving law students an opportunity to strengthen their legal and professional skills in a competitive setting.

Competition Structure:

• Rounds: Preliminary, Quarter‑Final, Semi‑Final, and Final.
• Memorials: Required for both Petitioner and Respondent.
• Citation Style: Bluebook, 20th Edition.
• Memorial Length: Maximum 30 pages.
• Dress Code: Strict formal wear.

The Winning Team will also be felicitated by the Hon’ble Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on National Consumer Rights Day, 24 December 2026.
