About NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law

Established in 2013, NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law has rapidly grown into a premier institution of legal education. Its students have excelled in top law firms, pursued higher studies at leading global universities, and distinguished themselves in judicial examinations. The School has successfully hosted national and international competitions judged by eminent jurists including Justice B.N. Srikrishna and Justice A.K. Sikri.

About the ADR Committee

Founded in 2019, the ADR Committee provides a platform for students to engage in mediation, negotiation, and arbitration. It aims to nurture future ADR professionals by equipping them with practical skills to resolve disputes outside traditional courtrooms.

About INMC 2026

The International Negotiation & Mediation Competition 2026 marks the 4th edition of this prestigious event. It will be conducted in hybrid mode, combining online preliminary rounds with offline advanced rounds.

  • Format: Hybrid (Online prelims; Offline quarter‑finals, semi‑finals, and finals)
  • Theme: Business, Property, and Environmental Law
  • Eligibility:
    • Law colleges in India must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.
    • International law colleges face no such bar.
    • Only bona fide students pursuing 3‑year or 5‑year LL.B. programs in 2025–26 are eligible.

Team Composition:

  • Mediation: 1 Client + 1 Counsel + 1 Mediator
  • Negotiation: 1 Client + 1 Counsel

Prizes & Awards

  • Winners (Mediation & Negotiation): Trophy, cash prize, and internships with leading law firms.
  • Runners‑Up: Trophy, cash prize, and internships.
  • Best Mediator & Best Negotiating Team (Prelims): Certificate of Merit, cash prize, and internships at arbitration centres.
  • Additional awards include recognition for outstanding performance in preliminary rounds.

The Competition is a premier international ADR competition that brings together aspiring negotiators and mediators from leading law schools across India and abroad.

Competition Dates

  • Preliminary Rounds (Online): 23rd August 2026
  • Advanced Rounds (Offline): 17th & 18th October 2026

Registration Fees

Preliminary Rounds:

  • SVKM Colleges: ₹2,950
  • Non-SVKM Colleges: ₹3,481 (inclusive of 18% GST)

Advanced Rounds:

  • SVKM Colleges: ₹12,750
  • Non-SVKM Colleges: ₹15,045 (inclusive of 18% GST)

Mediators qualifying for Advanced Rounds:

  • SVKM Colleges: ₹6,375
  • Non-SVKM Colleges: ₹7,523 (inclusive of 18% GST)
