Call for Blogs – Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology (CCLC), University of Delhi

The Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, a pioneer in legal education since 1924, has introduced the Integrated Law Course (ILC) during its centenary year (2022–2023). This flagship initiative offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA LL.B. (Hons.) programs, enabling students to begin their legal journey right after 10+2. The curriculum blends foundational knowledge in arts or business administration with rigorous legal training, preparing students to become ethical and impactful professionals.

About the Centre

The Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology (CCLC) is a transformative platform under ILC, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. It bridges academic theory with the realities of the Indian justice system. By integrating criminal law with sociology, psychology, and forensics, the Centre fosters interdisciplinary research and evidence-based reforms.

The Centre emphasizes:

• Specialized training in trial advocacy, forensic investigation, and restorative justice.
• Scholarly excellence through research publications, policy interventions, and community outreach.
• Preparing socially responsible professionals committed to advancing a fair and reform-oriented justice system.

Vision & Mission

Its mission is to serve as a hub for legal scholarship and public engagement, encouraging doctrinal, empirical, and interdisciplinary research. Beyond academia, it seeks to inform law reform, advance public legal education, and empower citizens to understand and assert their rights.

Guidelines for Submission

Scope & Eligibility

• Original, well-researched pieces on criminal law, criminology, and allied fields.
• Contributions welcome from students, researchers, practitioners, and academicians.
• Submissions must demonstrate strong legal reasoning, clarity, and contemporary relevance.

Word Limit & Formatting

• Length: 1,000–1,500 words.
• Format: MS Word (.doc/.docx).
• Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing (main text); size 10, single spacing (footnotes).

Citation & Plagiarism

• References via hyperlinks; footnotes only where hyperlinks are not feasible.
• Footnotes must follow Bluebook, 21st edition.
• Submissions must be original and unpublished.
• Plagiarism above 15% will lead to rejection.

Review & Authorship

• Double-blind peer review by Student Editorial Board and Faculty Editorial Board.
• Final authority rests with the Faculty Advisory Board.
• Manuscripts must be anonymous; author details provided separately in a cover letter.
• Co-authorship allowed up to two authors.

Declaration & Copyright

• Authors must declare that submissions are free from communal, defamatory, or objectionable content.
• Submissions to be emailed to cele@ilc.du.ac.in with subject line: “ILC-CCLC Blog Submission”.
• Copyright vests with CCLC upon acceptance; moral rights remain with authors.
