Short-Term Internship Programme – Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA):

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), established under Section 10 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, invites applications from law students across India for its 2-Month Full-Time Internship Programme. This initiative aims to provide meaningful learning opportunities while enabling interns to contribute fresh perspectives to consumer protection and regulatory practices.

About CCPA:

The CCPA regulates matters related to consumer rights violations, unfair trade practices, and misleading advertisements. It works to protect and enforce the rights of consumers as a class, ensuring accountability and transparency in the marketplace.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 2 Months (Full-time, 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
  • Number of Interns: 6 students will be selected
  • Mode: On-site, full-time engagement
  • Certification: Interns successfully completing the programme will receive a certificate based on punctuality, discipline, participation, and timely submission of assigned projects.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 4th & 5th year students of integrated 5-year law programmes
  • Final year students of 3-year law programmes
  • Minimum 60% marks / 6 CGPA in:
    • Class XII
    • All semesters of the 3-year law programme
    • All semesters of the integrated 5-year law programme

Application Requirements:

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP): 300 words, explaining motivation to intern at CCPA, including details of co-curricular activities, moot courts, internships, and research projects.
  • Documents:
    • Self-attested scanned copies of mark sheets (Class XII onwards)
    • Letter of Recommendation (Annexure-I) from HOD/Dean/Principal (dated after advertisement release)
  • Submission Mode: Online application form only (available on CCPA’s website). Applications via email/post will not be accepted.

Important Dates:

  • Last Date to Apply: 15 May 2026
  • Final List of Selected Interns: To be displayed on CCPA’s official website

Terms & Conditions:

  • Attendance is mandatory; leave applications will not be entertained.
  • Incomplete applications or those not meeting eligibility criteria will be rejected.
  • CCPA reserves the right to amend or cancel the internship programme without prior notice.
