About Society of Construction Law India (SCL‑India):

Founded in 2016 and affiliated with the Society of Construction Law UK, SCL‑India promotes education, study, and research in construction law. Through MoUs with institutions, it advances construction law education via joint courses, seminars, curriculum design, and collaborative research.

This certificate course is a joint initiative of CLUD and SCL‑India, undertaken under their Memorandum of Understanding. The collaboration aims to strengthen academic engagement and capacity‑building in construction law through teaching, research, and industry interaction.

This course introduces participants to the legal and procedural framework of construction projects, covering:

  • Standard‑form contracts (FIDIC, NEC)
  • Risk allocation and project control
  • Dispute resolution mechanisms (arbitration, mediation, adjudication boards, injunctions)
  • Comparative perspectives under Indian and international practice
