About the Event:

The Chhattisgarh Youth Parliament 2026 is a dynamic one‑day academic initiative designed to foster leadership, constitutional values, and critical thinking among students. Scheduled for 22nd August 2026 (09:30 A.M. – 06:30 P.M.) at the Kalinga University Campus, Naya Raipur, the event provides a simulated parliamentary platform where participants engage in debates on pressing legal and socio‑political issues.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Youth Parliament promotes:

  • SDG 4 – Quality Education
  • SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
  • SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
  • SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

Agenda of the Sessions:

  • Lok Sabha: Removal of elected representatives in cases involving criminal charges, ensuring transparency and accountability of law enforcement agencies.
  • Rajya Sabha: Balancing free speech and accountability—censorship and regulation of OTT platforms.
  • Vidhan Sabha: Naxalism and internal security in Chhattisgarh—strategies for eliminating Maoist violence by 2026.

Who Can Participate?

  • Senior Secondary Students: Class 11th and 12th students.
  • Law Students: Undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
  • Other Disciplines: Students from diverse academic backgrounds.
  • Young Leaders and Debaters: Students passionate about debate, leadership, and socio‑legal issues.

    • INR 699/- (30% concession for Kalinga University students)
    • INR 799/- (20% concession for MoU partner institutions)

  • Sponsorship: Organisations may collaborate through sponsorships in cash or kind, gaining visibility, recognition, and engagement opportunities during the event.
  • MoU Collaboration: Institutions may explore signing a one‑day Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kalinga University. MoU partners will be eligible for concessional participation.
