About CNLU & Legal Aid Cell:

Established in 2006 under the CNLU Act, Chanakya National Law University has built a strong reputation as a centre of excellence in legal education and research. The Legal Aid Cell, founded in 2007, works in line with Article 39A of the Constitution of India and the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, to promote access to justice for marginalized communities. Through awareness drives, legal aid clinics, and pro bono services, the Cell has consistently advanced its mission of legal empowerment.

About VIDHIKTA:

Launched in 2019, VIDHIKTA (derived from Vidhik + Sahayta) has grown into India’s largest legal aid fest, engaging law students, academicians, legal professionals, civil society organizations, and grassroots communities. After three successful editions, VIDHIKTA 4.0 continues this legacy by uniting diverse stakeholders to strengthen the discourse on legal aid and access to justice.

Events at VIDHIKTA 4.0:

• National Legal Aid Conference
• National Client Counselling Competition
• National Bail Petition Drafting Competition
• Nukkad Natak Competition
• Painting Competition
• Talk Show & Cultural Night

Eligibility:

• Client Counselling & Bail Petition Drafting: Open to all undergraduate law students (3-year or 5-year courses).
• Nukkad Natak: Open to school students (14–18 years), UG students (any discipline), NGOs, social workers, and PLVs.
• Painting Competition: Open to children (6–15 years) from schools, orphanages, and shelter homes.

Prizes:

Exciting prize pool worth ₹70,000, along with trophies and certificates:

• Certificates of Merit for top performers.
• Certificates of Participation for all registered participants.

Important Dates:

• Virtual Rounds: 15th March 2026
• On-Campus Rounds: 28–29th March 2026
• Valedictory Ceremony: 29th March 2026
