NLU Delhi Admissions 2026–27: AIET Notification:
The National Law University Delhi (NLUD), established in 2008 under Act No. 1 of 2008, has announced admissions for the Academic Year 2026–27 through the All India Entrance Test (AIET).
Important Dates:
- Last date for applications: Friday, April 10, 2026
- Admit card issue: April 25, 2026
- AIET exam: Sunday, May 3, 2026 (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Postgraduate Programmes:
1. Joint Master’s / LL.M. in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Management – One Year
- Degrees Offered:
- Master of Arts (M.A.) in IP Law and Management
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) in IP Law and Management
- Eligibility:
- Two bachelor’s degrees in succession (one in relevant discipline), OR
- Five‑year integrated degree in relevant discipline, OR
- Equivalent postgraduate degree (for M.A.)
- LL.B. or equivalent (for LL.M.)
- Minimum Marks: 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD)
- Seats: 25 Indian, 10 Foreign Nationals, 5 CGPDTM
2. Post Graduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP) – Two Years
- Degrees Offered:
- Master of Arts (M.A.) in Insolvency
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Insolvency
- Eligibility:
- Professional courses (CS, CA, CMA, Law) OR
- Bachelor’s in Technology/Engineering OR
- Postgraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Management, Insolvency
- LL.B. for LL.M. track; others eligible for M.A. track
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years at advertisement date
- Seats: 40
- Certification: Issued by Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI)
Ph.D. Programmes:
Ph.D. in Law
- Eligibility: LL.M. or equivalent law degree with 55% (50% SC/ST/OBC non‑creamy layer/PwD/EWS)
- Seats: 32+2 (UGC‑JRF: 18, AIET Merit: 12, Fellowship via AIET Merit: 2, Foreign Nationals: 2)
Ph.D. in Social Sciences
- Disciplines: Political Science, Sociology, Criminology, Economics, English
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s + Master’s in relevant discipline with 55% (50% SC/ST/OBC non‑creamy layer/PwD/EWS)
- Seats: 4 (UGC‑JRF, Foreign Nationals)
AIET 2026 Test Cities:
Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna
(Centres will not be created in cities with fewer than 100 candidates; alternate preferences will apply.)
Application Fee:
- General: ₹3,000
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹1,000
- SC/ST & Women candidates under BPL: Exempted
Refund Policy:
- Full refund of counselling fee if candidate exits admission process.
- Counselling fee adjusted against total fee if admission is taken.
- Entire fee refunded on withdrawal, as per UGC guidelines.
