About Organization:

The firm is completely an intellectual property firm which is established in Chennai  and spreads it’s wings to other metropolitan cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai, Delhi and Mumbai. The firm is also havingit’s branches in various countries such as UK, USA and UAE. The firm is having prestigious clients both National and International whose intellectual property is being protected.

Duration of the Internship:

20th June to 20th July

Timing: 

10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Main Task Work Profile:

The tasks were given according to my potential and skills to complete that task. I worked in the trademark department. The main task was drafting replies to the examination report, Application for registration of trademark, Drafting notice of opposition to an application for registration of trademark, Drafting counter statement as to notice of opposition, checking trademark status, Drafting application for withdrawal of trademark.

Work Environment at office:

The work environment in the office is very good. Each and every associate was busy in his own work and were very friendly and supportive. The associates were very punctual about the timings. The burden of work for Interns was comparatively less to other firms.

Stipend:

None

First day at organization:

I was alloted a desktop to carry out my research work and drafting. Internship form was to be filled on the first day itself. First day was just an overall idea of the functioning of the firm.

Best Part of Internship:

I was satisfied with the work allotted to me as it was very interesting. Getting practical knowledge of trademark law was the best part of Internship.

Biggest Lesson:

I would say that an Internship can make all the difference.

Anything else you’d like to tell:

Experience matters a lot.

Any Message to other Law Students:

Grab the opportunity whenever you get for any good Internship, getting knowledge of various fields of law may help you anytime.Just going on doing internships which do not add up any experience will not help you to build a bright career.
