The National Law University and Judicial Academy of Assam (NLUJAA) is a law school in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was formed as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education in 2009 by an Act enacted by the State Legislature of Assam.

The Centre for Child Rights (CCR) is one of NLUJAA’s specialised centres dedicated to issues affecting children. On March 14, 2015, the Centre for Child Rights was officially opened. Since then, the Centre has been involved in a variety of activities including training, workshops, conferences, the development of IEC materials, and technical assistance to various government ministries.

UNICEF works with the Government of India, state governments, civil society organisations, and other partners around the world to advocate for and realise children’s rights to survival, protection, development, and participation, which are guiding principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
