The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, having over 30,000 students on its roll is the second largest law university in South Asia. It was inaugurated by the Former President of India, Hon’ble Shri. K.R. Narayanan, in 1997. The University celebrated its Silver Jubilee recently and it was presided over by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru. M. K. Stalin and was conferred with the Best State University Award on 21st of June, 2023. In its 25 years of existence, the University has conducted innumerable events, presided over by highly distinguished dignitaries of central and state government like the Former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Former Vice President of India, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, Former Chief Justices of the Supreme Court of India and other eminent personalities., legal luminaries and scholar.
School of Excellence in Law, established by the University at its campus in2002 has been modelled on the lines of other National Law Schools in the country and offers five-year integrated Under-Graduate Courses and three-year courses as well as Post-Graduate Programmes in law with 15 different specializations under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) Regulations. The institution is a pioneer in the field of Legal and Inter-disciplinary research with its state-of-the-art facilities and research databases.
The Competition is set to take place on the virtually on 9th and 10th February, 2024 with Semi-finals and finals being conducted physically on 10th March, 2024 at the School of Excellence in Law, Taramani Campus. The announcement of the winners of the 14th V.S.Sundaram Research Paper Competition, 2024 will take place during the valedictory ceremony on 10th March, 2024.
What Are The Details Of The Competition?
- Date Of The Competition:
- The preliminary rounds, and quarter final round of the 14th K.R. Ramamani Memorial Taxation National Moot Court Competition 2024 will be conducted ONLINE through the video conferencing application “GOOGLE MEET”™ on 9th and 10th of Feb, 2024.
- The Researcher’s Interview will be conducted ONLINE through the video conferencing application “GOOGLE MEET”™ on 7 th and 8 th Feb, 2024.
- The Semi-Finals and Finals will be conducted OFFLINE at TNDALU, SOEL,
Taramani Campus on 10th March, 2024.
- Team Eligibility & Team Composition:
- Participation in the 14 th K.R Ramamani Memorial Taxation Moot is strictly restricted to bona fide law students enrolled in the three-year or five-year LL.B. or B.L. degree course in any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Only one team is permitted to participate from each registered institution.
- Each team shall comprise of a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. In a team consisting of two members, each of the members shall be designated as ‘Speaker’. In a team consisting of three members, two of the members shall be designated as ‘Speaker’ and the third member shall be designated as ‘Researcher’.
- Any number of students enrolled in undergraduate courses of law, commerce, accountancy and taxation can participate in the 14 th V.S Research Paper Competition, 2024.
- Registration Procedure for 14 th K.R Ramamani Memorial Moot:
- The participants shall complete the final registration, by affixing all the necessary details by filling in the online registration form by CLICK HERE
