About the Organiser:

The Research and Development Cell of Asian Law College (ALC) is organizing its 2nd Edition of National Conference on Government Accountability and Transparency: A Global Perspective on 17th October, 2020. Asian Law College is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) University, Meerut, approved by Bar Council of India (BCI) and is associated with the University of Cape Town (UCT). ALC follows an approach to legal education wherein learning experience is not only enlightening but also enriching and inspiring.

The Research and Development Cell at ALC provides a vigorous and highly visible research environment to its students to inculcate research culture. The Center supports all kinds of scholarly activities like fundamental research & applied research.

About the Conference:

The main aim of this Conference is to introspect the twin pillars of good governance i.e. the transparency and accountability pertaining to Education, Labour Right’s & Migrant workers, Media Activism, E-Governance etc. The major characteristics like participation, rule of law, transparency, responsiveness, equity and inclusiveness, effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and strategic vision and consensus orientation makes a good governance. It assures that corruption is minimized, the views of minorities are taken into account and that the voices of the most vulnerable in society are heard in decision-making and implementation. It is also responsive to the present and future needs of society, balancing between growth and distribution, present and future resource use.

  • Venue:  The Event and Technical Sessions will be conducted through Zoom. The joining details shall be notified to all the registered participants in advance

Call for Papers:

With an aim to understand and discuss the relevance of macro participation process of government in this cosmopolitan era, the Research and Development Cell, Asian Law College (ALC) invites Academicians / Research Scholars/Professionals/ Students in any stream, with a keen interest in multidisciplinary research, to submit their original research papers around the main theme and sub-themes of the Conference. Distinguish scholars, academician and students are requested to participate in the conference and have dialogic engagement with the speakers invited for the event

Registration fee:

  • Students: Rs. 750/-
  • Research Scholars: Rs. 1100/-
  • Academicians/Lawyers/Professionals: Rs.1500/-
  • Co-author: Only two authors per paper permitted. The co-author has to register and pay the registration fee separately

  • Submission of Abstract: 28th September, 2020
  • Confirmation of abstract selection: 30th September, 2020
  • Submission of Registration fees and transaction details to be sent on: 3rd October, 2020
  • Submission of Full paper (only Soft copies in .doc file): 10th October, 2020

The participant can register after filling up the Google Form and making the payment provided in the information brochure. Please Note: Registration shall be deemed final only after receipt of registration fees.

Submission Guidelines

  • A 300-word Abstract of the paper followed with minimum 5 Keywords should be mailed as an attachment in a word file. Abstracts will be peer reviewed before they are accepted.
  • Authors of selected Abstracts will then be invited to submit full original papers of not more than 5000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • The Abstracts and the Manuscripts must not mention the author’s detail. A Separate Cover Page must be attached which must contain the Details of the Author including : Author’s /Co-Author’s (if any) Name, Official Designation/ Institution Details, Title of the Paper, Theme, Sub-theme, E-mail Address, Postal Address, and Contact Number, etc.
  • All Abstracts and Manuscripts along with contact details must be sent to rdc@alc.edu.inwith Subject line “Abstract/ Manuscript Submission for National Conference on Government Accountability & Transparency: A Global Perspective
  • The paper should be typed in MS Word format (preferably 2007 or 2010)
  • Chapter: The main text should be in font size 14, Normal, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing and Justified. The main text should be in font size 14, Normal, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing and Justified. All references must be in the form of footnotes with font size 10
  • The paper must be in a single-column layout with margins justified on both sides.
  • Citation: 20th Blue book edition
  • Submission must be a doc. File only, PDF will not be accepted
  • Originality of Manuscripts: All the contributions should be the original work of the Author. Any plagiarized work will result in rejection of the paper
