Who Is The Organizer?

Central University of Kerala (CUK) is one of the 15 central universities established under The Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No.25 of 2009) by the Parliament of India. The university is seated in Kasaragod, the northernmost district of the Indian state of Kerala.

Prof. (Dr.) K.C. Sunny, the pioneer of legal education in the country, had been the former Vice Chancellor of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) – Kochi and is currently the Professor of Law at Central University of Kerala. During his illustrious academic career, spanning over almost four decades he has held prestigious positions like that of the international observer for the Nepal Constituency Assembly Election and the Bangladesh National Parliament Election, Visiting Professor to many foreign universities like the Missouri Western State University, Thomas University Miami, Harvard Law School, Kennesaw State University, Georgia University, St Thomas University Florida- USA, International Islamic University- Kulalampur- Malaysia, National University Singapore and a number of Indian Universities

  • Eligibility: The organizers of the Seminar with a keen interest on Interdisciplinary academic discourse, call upon the legal professionals as well as academicians from almost every  discipline, administrators, University students, young and upcoming research scholars, social activists and the representatives of governmental and nongovernmental organizations to present their research papers relevant to the below-mentioned themes.
  • Abstract & Paper Submission:
    • Papers shall be submitted by minimum two co- authors each belonging to -preferably but not compulsory- different disciplines of study to ensure interdisciplinary approach to the topic. An abstract not exceeding 350 words shall be submitted in .doc or .docx format for consideration on or before 05th February, 2024 to alumnilawcuk@gmail.com. 
    • Co-authorship up to 2 persons is permitted.
    • The abstract shall contain:
      • Title of paper
      • Brief idea of the paper
      • Analysis indicating author’s perspective.
      •  Key words of the paper
    • The abstract shall indicate the name, designation, Institution details, e-mail address and Telephone numbers of all contributors. Each of the co-authors will have to register separately in the event of participation in the conference.
    • Selected abstracts will be intimated after blind peer review. Thereafter, the full papers shall be submitted on or before February, 20, 2024 to alumnilawcuk@gmail.com.
  • Guidelines for Submitting Full paper:
    • Length of the paper shall be less than 3500 words (including foot notes)
    • Format: MS Word, Font Type: Times New Roman, Font Size:  12 Point, Line Spacing: 1.5
    • For title of the Paper 14 point capitals may be used
    • Name and Designation of the author/authors shall be mentioned below the title of the paper
    •  ILI Format shall be used for citation
    •  Full papers shall undergo Blind peer review and Plagiarism check. Revision (if any) suggested by the reviewer of the paper shall be included. Revisions suggested are on the basis of blind peer review. Abstracts and full papers mailed to alumnilawcuk@gmail.com will only be considered.
    • Status of the acceptance of full papers shall be communicated after blind peer review and plagiarism check. Plagiarized papers shall be rejected.

    • Communication of any suggested revisions in the Full papers: February, 28, 2024.
    • Last date for submission of Full papers after revision, if any: March, 06, 2024.
    • Communication of Final Approval of Full papers: March, 10, 2024.
    • Last date for Seminar Registration: March, 15, 2024.
  • Registration Process:
    • Registration fee:
      • For graduate and post graduate students: INR: 500/-
      • For M Phil and PhD research scholars: Rs.750/-
      • For Academicians, Teachers, and other professionals: Rs.1000/-.
    • Authors of the selected abstracts will be informed by 10th February, 2024 and they shall then submit the full paper via email to alumnilawcuk@gmail.com on or before 20h February, 2024 and the authors of the papers selected after blind peer review will be informed by 28th February, 2024.  The authors of the selected papers then shall submit the full paper after the revisions suggested, if any on or before 06th March, 2024 and are required to register for the seminar on or before 15th March, 2024 on proper information about the final approval of the paper. The registration fee also includes fee for seminar material, lunch and refreshments. The organizers will not provide accommodation to the participants.
