Posted by The Jindal Society of International Law is a student-led project that operates under the auspices of Jindal Global Law School’s Centre for the Study of the United Nations and Faculty Coordinator Professor (Dr.) Vesselin Popovski. This Society, which was founded in 2020, was created to give a platform for young international law aficionados. Through its numerous efforts, this Society aims to improve student participation with the subject of International Law. Rather than focusing solely on research, we plan to provide a variety of experiences that contribute to skill development, thereby expanding the knowledge reservoir available to students.
The Fall Lecture Series of 2021, titled ‘Exploring the Ecosystem of International Law,’ builds on the introduction to internationalism and international law provided by JSIL’s recently finished Spring Lecture Series, titled ‘Future of Internationalism and International Law.’ The Fall Series aims to investigate the various facets of international law. The presenters will cover and address their different areas of expertise, based on their years of research and practise, to aid in this study. Given the enormous ecosystem and international law’s involvement in it, the Society intends to investigate the fragmentation and fertilisation of the various disciplines within it.
The topic of our Fall 2021 Talk Series’ twelfth lecture is ‘Meaning and Relevance of a Third World Approaches to International Law.’ The talk will be broadcast live online on October 4, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. Professor Dr. B.S. Chimni and Mr. Balakrishnan Rajagopal are the prominent speakers for this talk.
