Faculty Recruitment:

The Rashtriya Raksha University, An Institution of National Importance established by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India through an Act of Parliament, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing education and research in the fields of national security and policing. The University invites applications in the prescribed format from dedicated and committed citizens of India to fill up the following teaching positions purely on a contractual basis.

Available Positions:

• 👩‍🏫 Assistant Professor:
  • (Police Administration, Security Studies, Criminology, Physical Education, IT/Computer Science)
  • Contractual for 1 year, extendable up to 5 years
  • Pay Level as per 7th Pay CPC- 10
• 📖 Assistant Professor (Research):
  • (Criminal Law, Military Law, Maritime Law, International Law, Engineering & Technology, Forensic Science)
  • Contractual for 1 year, extendable up to 5 years
  • Pay Level as per 7th Pay CPC- 10
• 🧠 Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology):
  • Contractual for 1 year, extendable up to 5 years
  • Pay Level as per 7th Pay CPC- 10
• 🔬 Teaching cum Research Officer:
  • (Clinical Psychology / Physical Education / Private, Industrial & Corporate Security Management)
  • Pay Level as per 7th Pay CPC- 08

Eligibility for various Job Positions:

A. Assistant Professor:

Disciplines: Police Administration, Security Studies, Criminology, Physical Education, IT/Computer Science

Eligibility:

• Masters with 55% + NET/SET/SLET OR Ph.D. (UGC norms / Top‑500 global university)
• For IT/CS: First Class Master’s in relevant branch; preference for Ph.D. + 2 yrs experience

Responsibilities: Teaching, research, training, publishing, organizing seminars/workshops, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic coordination.

B. Assistant Professor (Research):

Domains: Criminal Law, Maritime Law, International Law, Military Law, Engineering & Technology, Forensic Science

Eligibility:

• Master’s degree with 55% marks in relevant subject (Indian/foreign university)
• Minimum 3 publications in peer‑reviewed/UGC‑listed journals
• 3 years post‑qualification teaching/research experience in relevant field
• Desirable: NET/SET/CSIR qualification, conference papers, MS Office skills, ability to deliver reports on time

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching, research, consultancy & outreach projects
• Publish reports, papers, newsletters on emerging issues
• Organize certificate/diploma courses, training programs, workshops & conferences
• Conduct co‑curricular activities (study tours, sports, cultural, NCC, etc.)
• Collaborate nationally & internationally on interdisciplinary research

C. Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology):

Eligibility:

• MPhil in Clinical Psychology (RCI recognized) + NET and/or Ph.D.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching/research/professional work
• Desirable: Ph.D., publications in reputed journals, international conference papers, strong communication & research skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching, research, training & consultancy in forensic/clinical domains
• Provide outdoor services for civil, criminal, juvenile & family court cases
• Supervise research projects and develop online training modules
• Engage in extension activities and academic outreach

D. Teaching cum Research Officer:

Domains: Clinical Psychology, Physical Education, Private/Industrial/Corporate Security Management

Eligibility:

• Master’s degree in relevant/allied subject with 55% marks (Indian/foreign university)
• Minimum 2 years teaching/research experience in government/private/research institute
• At least 2 publications in peer‑reviewed or UGC‑listed journals
• Desirable: NET/SET/CSIR qualification, conference papers, MS Office skills, ability to prepare reports/papers on time
