Online applications are invited in the prescribed Application Form from the eligible candidates for appointment of Faculty positions in various Departments of the University. The last date for receipt of application is 22.11.2023 or two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News, whichever is later.

What Are The Details Of The Opportunity?

• Job Post:
  • Associate Professor (Law): Total Post- 96 (33 (UR), 15 (SC), 07 (ST), 26 (OBC), 10 (EWS), 05 (PwBD) [02-VI, 02-LD, 01- OBD (MD)]
  • Professor (Law): Total Post-33 (12 (UR), 05 (SC), 02 (ST), 09 (OBC), 03 (EWS), 02 (PwBD)[01- VI, 01- LD]
  • Note *For the posts reserved forPwBD (VI, LD, HH & OBD), Candidate of any category i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS may apply.
• Eligibility:
  • For the post of Associate Professor:
    • A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
    • A master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
    • A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or accredited research Institution/Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals. A total research score of seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in the Screening Guidelines for this post annexed to this advertisement.
  • For the post of Professor:
    • Eligibility (A or B):
      • Eligibility (A). An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria.
      • A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. OR.
      • Eligibility ( B): An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided she/he has ten years’ experience.

  • Application fees and application form(s) are to be submitted as per details given below:
  •  Fees for Associate Professor (if applicable)
  •  Rs.2000/- for UR/OBC/EWS category.
  •  No application fee will be charged from applicants from SC, ST, PwBD category and Women applicants.
  •  Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  •  No application fee shall be charged from applicants, who had applied for the same post in the preceding advertisement, subject to the condition that interview for the said post in the said department had not been conducted. (The applicant shall have to provide the relevant details/proof of his/her having applied for the post against the advertisement referred herein).
  •  Application forms have to be filled only in online mode, as available on the website of the University along with this advertisement, within the prescribed time limit indicated in the advertisement. No offline forms would be accepted.
