ABOUT CHANAKYA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY (CNLU), PATNA:

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna was established on July 15, 2006, under the Chanakya National Law University Act, 2006, to provide quality legal education and promote constitutional values in Bihar. Founded under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) A. Lakshminath, CNLU is recognized under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Located on an 18-acre campus in Nyaya Nagar, Mithapur, Patna, CNLU offers modern residential, dining, medical, and IT facilities. ABOUT DPIIT-CHAIR CNLU:

The Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT) launched the SPRIHA scheme in 2016 to promote pedagogy and research in Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) through IPR Chairs in select institutions, aligned with the National IPR Policy. Under this initiative, CNLU Patna was granted an IPR Chair and appointed Prof. Dr. Subhash C. Roy as Chair Professor in April 2023. The Chair aims to build a vibrant IP ecosystem by supporting education, research, and outreach in IPR. Its mandate includes introducing IPR courses, fostering research, creating knowledge repositories, and facilitating IP filings. It also emphasizes collaboration between academia and industry to bridge communication gaps and support innovation.

CALL FOR PAID INTERNSHIP AT DPIT- CHAIR:

DPUTAPR Chair invites application from the students of BA LL.B (Hons.) / BBA. LL.B (Hons)/3year LL.B. for internship in the DPIIT-IPR Chair for undertaking research work and writing research papers. Interested students may send their CV with application for internship.

DURATION: (1-3 MONTHS)

The internship shall be for a duration of One month, which may be extended up to a maximum
of Three months, subject to the intern’s performance.

INTERNSHIP HOURS:

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on all working days.

ELIGIBILTY:

• Candidates must possess basic to advanced academic knowledge in the field of IPRs;
• Fluency in English speaking and writing;
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Candidate must have publication in IPR, completed certificate course / summer-winter school course in IPR will be given preference.

CONDITION:

Each intern will have to write a research paper in SCOPUS indexed Journal in a month during his OR her internship, as a condition for the release of remuneration.

REMUNERATION:

Rs. 10,000/- per month per student.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Those who desire, may send their application with CV at iprchair@cnlu.ac.in along with a write up on IPR issues in 500 words, latest by 28th October 2025. Contact details of two referees to be mentioned in the application. The internship shall commence from 1st November, 2025. The interns shall be given certificate after the successful completion of the internship program.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their CV and will be called for Interview for the final selection.
