UGC NET December 2025 Notification Released! Last Date to Apply: 7th Nov 2025.

The UGC NET December 2025 cycle is now live! Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), this national-level exam opens doors to Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), Assistant Professorships, and Ph.D. admissions across India’s universities and colleges.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • Application Window: October 07 – November 07, 2025 (till 11:50 PM)
  • Fee Payment Deadline: November 07, 2025
  • Correction Window: November 10 – 12, 2025
  • Exam Date: To be announced via admit card

How to Apply?

Candidates must apply online via the official NTA portal. The process includes registration, form filling, document upload, Fee payment and lastly downloading the confirmation page.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Master’s degree with at least 55% (General) or 50% (Reserved categories)
  • Age (for JRF): Max 30 years as of December 1, 2025
    Relaxation of up to 5 years for eligible categories
  • Candidates appearing in LL.M. last year are also eligible to apply the form.

Exam Pattern:

UGC NET 2025 will be held in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode with two papers:

  • Paper I: 50 MCQs (100 marks) – Teaching & Research Aptitude
  • Paper II: 100 MCQs (200 marks) – Law Subject
  • No negative marking
