• Eligibility:
  • Required: JD degree or equivalent, strong record of academic publication in legal scholarship.
  • Desired: Experience in a computing field.
• Deadline for application: Applications are due by December 31, 2023, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Interviews are expected to take place in January 2024. Requires successful completion of a background check.

• Duties Description:
  • 40% Support and conduct ongoing research thrusts involving the design of accountable software systems for safety-critical applications.
  • 40% Formulate and carry out independent research projects that combine elements of law, computer science, and policy; draft, edit, and submit articles for publication in law review journals.
  • 20% Conduct scholarly and public presentations; attend and engage at faculty workshops and other relevant scholarly events; assist in organizing interdisciplinary law-and-computer-science meetings and symposia.
