Phalguni Mahapatra
3rd Year
Hidayatullah Naional Law University, Raipur
Mr. Samir K. Mishra, Odisha High Court
One Month
We use to reach his chamber at 8:30 A.M. Purpose of going morning was that we can read the cases which was listed. Then we were suppose to go to the Court at around 10:00 A.M. We were free to leave the court after lunch that is after 2:00 P.M. Further we were asked to come in the evening for either making case notes or doing any type of research.
Court Visits, reading cases and making case notes was the primary task.
Sir’s juniors in the chamber were very friendly. They guided at every moment of time. They helped me learning minute procedures which are followed in the High Court. Also during the Court proceedings sir and his juniors guided me.
First day when I reached his chamber in the morning, it was difficult for me to comprehend what was going on. But then I was told that just keep observing and in the evening my queries will be answered. Then I visited High Court, it was great experience.
Honestly speaking each day of the internship was my best part.
