Who Is The Organiser?

The International Law Students Association (ILSA) is a non-profit organisation of students and lawyers dedicated to advancing international law. Its main goal is to provide students and lawyers with opportunities to explore the field of international law. One of ILSA’s notable activities is the organisation of the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and it also engages in diverse initiatives like hosting conferences, facilitating discussions, publishing materials, and providing academic resources.

The School of Legal Studies (SLS) is a well-established law school in India with a rich history. It has been affiliated with the Cochin University of Science and Technology since 1971.SLS has facilitated the establishment of various organizations and clubs to promote legal research. Recently, the School of Legal Studies has introduced a chapter of the International Law Students Association (ILSA) to promote and advocate for international law, study, and research. In keeping with the true spirit of the ILSA, the SLS Chapter of ILSA introduces the Colloquium on Public International Law. The second course under the Colloquium on Public International Law on Outer Space Law is from July 7th to 9th.

What Are The Details Of The Course?

  • Theme: Outer Space Law
  • Objective: The course provides interactive learning experiences, case studies, and discussions to deepen participants’ knowledge of Space Law. Ethical considerations related to space exploration are explored, emphasizing the role of Space Law in maintaining peaceful use of outer space for the benefit of humanity. Upon completion, participants will have a strong foundation in Space Law, enabling them to navigate the legal complexities of the space industry and contribute to shaping policies and regulations in space activities.
  • Eligibility: The Course is open to all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students pursuing any recognized degree course.
  • Mode:The course shall be conducted online.
  • Registration fee: A registration fee of INR 350 is to be paid at the time of registration.
