Cfp for law students: GLC’s SPIL International Law Journal [Volume II]: Last date to Submit Jan 31, 2022

The International Law Journal (ILJ) is published by the Mumbai-based Students for Promotion of International Law (SPIL), a student organisation dedicated to international law.

Submissions on any topic of current relevance in the field of international law are welcome.

Word Limit and Categories
The following categories are available for submissions:

  • Articles: Papers that examine a topic in depth and deal with all of the relevant literature. Without footnotes, an article should be between 6000 and 10000 words long.
  • Essays are short papers that discuss current issues in international law in a straightforward manner. It should have a word count of between 4000 and 6000 words, excluding footnotes.
  • Case Notes and/or Legislative Comments: Case notes and/or legislative commentaries must discuss or critique a recent judgement, landmark case, or any recent legislation or bill before Parliament or the State legislature. It should be between 1500 and 3000 words in length, not including footnotes.

Submission Requirements

  • Abstract -The word limit is 200.
  • Co-authorship: Up to two authors are permitted.
  • The ILJ uses the referencing style of the ‘Harvard Bluebook 20th Edition.’
  • The manuscript’s body should be typed in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and Justified Alignment.
  • Footnotes should be typed in Times New Roman, size 10, with single line spacing.

Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate and postgraduate students, industry practitioners, academicians, and research scholars are encouraged to submit original work.

Procedure for Submission

  • Submissions should be sent to ilj.spilmumbai@gmail.com in electronic form.
  • ILJ Vol. II Submission: submission category‘ is the subject heading.
  • A covering letter including the name(s) of the author(s), institution/affiliation, manuscript title, and pertinent contact information must be included with all manuscripts.

Deadline
The deadline for submissions to the International Law Journal’s ‘SPIL ILJ Volume II’ is January 31, 2022. After the deadline, submissions will not be considered for publication.
