What Is NLUD?

National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) is one of the National Law Universities in India, situated in Sector-14 of Dwarka, Delhi. It offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As one of the national law schools in India, NLUD is built on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India. The National Law University Act, 2007, provides for the Chief Justice of India to be the university’s visitor and the Chief Justice of the High Court of Delhi to function as the university’s chancellor, and its vice-chancellor to function as the chief administrator.

  • Theme: International Intellectual Property Law
  • Course Objective: Contemporary Relevance: Deep insights to the working of International Intellectual Property Law (PIL), primary the World Trade organisations (WTO) Agreement on IP (Trade related aspects of Intellectual Property Rights and its interference with Indian Intellectual Property (IP) law. Transboundary IP challenges in the context of technology (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Standard Essential Patents) climate change, biodiversity, agriculture, public health including the 2022 WTO waiver on Covid-19 vaccines.
  • Commencement of Classes: 07.02.2024 to 30.04.2024 ( Every Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:30 PM
  • Mode: Hybrid ( Candidate may choose to attend in person on NLUD campus or join virtually)

    • Students: Must have successfully completed a course in any area of Intellectual Property. Relative scores and other competencies in the IPR subject will be considered.
    • Professionals/Academic: Demonstrable experience in Intellectual Property during the last two to five years.
