About the Journal

The M.S. Ramaiah Journal of Law is the official journal of Ramaiah College of Law affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubbali.

Aim

The primary object of the journal is to encourage the legal scholarship on the issue that are at the forefront of contemporary legal discourse.

Who all can participate

The journal welcomes the original contribution on Contemporary Legal Issues from the academicians, judicial officers, practitioners, activists, research scholars and students of law.

Form of Submission

The journal being the instrument in maintaining the high standard of legal research invites the original research papers in the form of Long Article, Short Article, Case Comments or Critiques.

Important Dates

Last dates for submission of Abstracts: 21st September, 2017

Communication of selection of abstracts: 28th September, 2017

Submission of final paper: 30th October, 2017

Confirmation of acceptance for publication: 30th November, 2017

Submission Guidelines

All contributions shall be submitted along with covering letter and declaration to the effect that the paper submitted is original and is not been published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The covering letter should include:

(i) Title of the Paper;

(ii) Name of the Author;

(iii) Designation;

(iv) Institutional affiliation;

(v) Correspondence address.

Co-authored papers should give full details about all the authors.

Guidelines

Main Text: Times New Roman, 12 Font Size, 1.5 line spacing and justified.

Foot Notes: Times New Roman, 10 Font Size, single spacing and justified.

Citation: The Harvard Bluebook (19th edition)

Charts/ Tables (if any) should be made a part of the main text itself.

Words Limit (excluding footnotes)

Long Articles: 6,000-8,000words

Short Articles: 4000- 6000words

Case Comment/Critique of Landmark Judgments: 2000-3000 words

Submission Procedure

Contributors shall submit an abstract of not more than 300 words focusing on Important Contemporary Legal Issues. The abstract will undergo the peer review by editorial board and the one selected will be informed.

Only contributions whose abstract are selected will be invited to submit the full paper.

Authors are requested to send the article in the electronic form (MS Word) only to msrlawjournal@msrcl.org
