Journal of Contract and Tort Law (JCTL) is a biannual double-blind peer-reviewed journal. We look forward to submissions from members of the research associates, academicians, educators, and professionals and practitioners in the field of law and allied subjects. Submissions can be in the form of articles, notes, case comments and book reviews. The editorial board of our journal is responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published. The editorial boards’ decision to accept or reject a paper for publication is based on its importance, originality, clarity, and its relevance to the scope of the journal.
Volume 1 issue 1 will stop accepting Articles and Essays submissions for review by 30 October at 5 PM for October(Fall) Issue. We will begin reviewing submissions again on 30 October 2020 for February (Winter) Issues. You can send your paper at submission.jctl@gmail.com.
SUBJECT AREA
PAPER MUST BE RELATED TO ANY PARTICULAR SUBJECT AREA RELATING TO CONTRACT and/or TORT Law
We notify authors of our decisions by email. We normally do not inform authors of the status of their manuscripts other than through email. As a matter of policy, we do not discuss the reasons for our publication decisions.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1- Research Articles (7000-10000)
2- Short Article (4000-7000)
3- Case Comment (3000-4500)
4- Book Review (2500-4000)
Cover Page
To facilitate our anonymous review process, please confine your professional and biographical information in a separate Cover Page that must contain the following parts:
1- The Title should be a brief phrase describing the contents of the paper. The Title Page should include the authors’ full name and affiliations, the name of the corresponding author along with phone and e-mail information. Present address of authors should appear as a footnote.
2- Author’s affiliation shall be in the sequence of:
- Author Name
- Current Designation
- Department/College, State
- Mobile Number
Abstract
Every submission should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 400 words describing the relevant conclusions drawn in the manuscript. Abstract of the paper must not provide the definition or quotations but only limited to the conceptualization of the main paper. Please note that there is no requirement of prior submission of abstract as the selection of the paper for publication shall be on the full manuscript. The abstract shall serve merely to help the Editorial Board in its review process. About 3 to 6 keywords should be provided.
Formatting
Submissions are accepted only in the English language typed in Garamond font.
Main Body- Font size for heading text will be a bold text of 14 point and main body text will be of 12 points in normal text. Uniform line spacing of 1.5 with a 1-inch margin on all side of the paper must be maintained throughout the manuscript.
Footnotes- Uniform text size of 10 with a line spacing of 1.0 must be maintained all through the footnotes.
Citation
Citation referencing is preferred in the footnotes style and Bluebook (19th Edition) citation method must be followed throughout the paper.
