Call for Blogs for law students- The Society for Constitutional Law Discussion: No Fees, Submissions on Rolling Basis

  • The Society for Constitutional Law Discussion (TSCLD) was founded by Chanakya National Law University students in Patna with the goal of providing a forum for public debate and deliberation on constitutional law. The Society’s E-Magazine and Blog are intended to provide a forum for students, academics, and practitioners to discuss and write about constitutional law.
  • The United States Constitution is our first and last chance for rights, responsibilities, and justice. TSCLD provides a place where you can freely publish and voice your thoughts on various constitutional law matters.
  • TSCLD is accepting blog posts from undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals, and academicians who are qualified to write on any issue related to constitutional law. On a rolling basis, submissions are accepted.

Submission Requirements
The following guidelines should be followed by authors while submitting their work:

  • The word count should be between 900 and 1500 words.
  • The number of authors who can co-author a paper is limited to two.
  • Plagiarism should not exceed 20% of the total. The article that exceeds the limit will be rejected outright.
  • The piece should be the author’s original, unpublished work (s). It should not be considered in any other context.
  • The document must be saved as a ‘Doc’ or ‘Docx’ file.
  • The only language in which a manuscript can be submitted is English.

Formatting Instructions

  • Times New Roman font is used throughout.
  • Size of the heading: 14 (Center Alignment)
  • 12 point font size
  • The submission must be well-organized, with sub-headings and sub-topics.
  • Any judgements, statutes, treaties, or legal material referenced in the submission must contain hyperlinks to the sources. Only legitimate or well-respected news sources should be hyperlinked. The editors make the final call on what qualifies as a credible source.
  • Endnotes can be used to cite references that can’t be hyperlinked.

Submission Procedure

  • All the submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
  • The authors should submit the manuscript using the online submission portal. The first page of the manuscript will include Author’s name, designation, and contact details.
  • All the entries will be screened by the editorial board before publication.
  • The authors, by submitting their entries, would be deemed to have divested the copyright to TSCLD. However, all the moral rights shall remain with the Author (s).
