The Contemporary Law Forum is a student-run and professionally supported blog dedicated to promoting and disseminating high-quality legal research on current legal concerns.

Submission Requirements
The TCLF is a platform for the exchange of ideas, and submissions from all areas of law are welcome as long as they are current.

TCLF is accepting submissions from members of the bar, legal professionals, law students, and others interested in publishing with them on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year.

Guidelines to be Adhered To

  • Articles should include both original and previously unpublished content.

  • Up to two authors can collaborate on a paper.

  • Instead of using footnotes, authors should employ hyperlinks within the text itself to cite resources.

  • Authors can utilise Oxford Standard OSCOLA (4th edition) to reference authorities as endnotes if hyperlinking the resources isn’t possible.

  • Authors should keep their contributions to a word count of 1500 to 1800 words.

  • Microsoft Word is the preferred format for submissions.

  • It is recommended that you utilise British English.

  • The following formatting style must be followed by authors: Times New Roman is the font type, with a font size of 12 and a line spacing of 1.5.
  • The essays would be judged on the following broad criteria: idea novelty/originality, articulation, structure, relevance, and writers’ insight.

  • The evaluation process takes around a week on average.

Authors interested in submitting a piece are requested to mail their submissions-submissions.tclf@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Submission_TCLF’.

The body of the email must contain a short bio of the author(s) and the name of the institution that they are affiliated with.
