Law College Dehradun has splendidly contributed to legal education in the country since its inception and inauguration by His Excellency Shri Surjeet Singh Barnala, the then Governor of Uttarakhand in 2002. It has set a paradigm for legal education in the nation by offering innovative, research-driven discourses that are aimed at striking a balance between legal theory and practice. With scholarly and experience-rich faculty, the college commands an enviable position of being in the league of top most Law Schools of the country. The college has earned many laurels to its credit; it has pioneered the 5- years BA.LL.B. and BBA.LL.B. integrated undergraduate course in the northern region of India, it is the first independent Law College and also the first to introduce one year LL.M. degree course in the state of Uttarakhand.
Vasundhara- The Green Society intends to create awareness and increase the consciousness & knowledge about the environmental issues. It aims at the creation of a Green Campus with phased initiatives involving the student community and all the stake holders making the University the first of its kind in the region to achieve environmental social responsibility. The society has a global vision with a local focus and collaborates with similar institutions to enhance efficient use of resources & sustainable development. The society aims to provide training, promote research development and create awareness on environment & the need for its protection & conservation through various environmental education programs at international and national level.
What Are The Details Of The Competition?
- Theme: Saving Himalayas- A Fragile Ecosystem
- Eligibility: Law students (both undergraduate and postgraduate), management students, economics students, other undergraduate students, research scholar from any recognized college/ university and higher secondary students of the country are eligible to participate.
- Registration Form:
- Registrations will be done through Google Forms.
- Participants can register themselves by CLICK HERE
- Participants will receive all the details and links through their registered mail id’s
- Participants shall send there article to mail id: lcdvtgs@uttaranchaluniversity.ac.in
- Registration Fees: INR 100
- Prizes:
- All registered participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
- 1st Position 1200
- Runner Up 800
- Second Runner Up 500
- Submission Guidelines:
- The participants have to submit their Article on or before 20th September by emailing itto lcdvtgs@uttaranchaluniversity.ac.in
- The subject should read: Submission of entry: “Saving Himalayas- A Fragile Ecosystem” Article Writing Competition
- The electronic copies must be submitted in pdf format. In case two emails are sent by the participant, the copy of the draft sent last will be considered for evaluation.
- No submission shall be accepted before 23:59 hours of September 20th 2023
- The font should be Times New Roman, Size 12 , and line spacing should be 1.5
- In the article 15 percent plague is allowed for the participants
- Word limit should be 800-1000 words
