Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj is a Constituent College of the University of Allahabad. The college has been graded by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at ‘A’ grade in the last two cycles of five years each for sustaining high standards in teaching and continuous efforts in promoting girls’ education. The college has been granted affiliation for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) by the Bar Council of India as well as the University of Allahabad in the name of Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies since 2019.
Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies established at S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College for B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Five Year Integrated Degree Course in Law stands as a beacon in the legal education landscape. In a world where the ever-changing legal realm is a complex puzzle, the Centre provides a platform for young women to understand, interpret and contribute to this intricate system. The Centre recognizes the crucial importance of awareness of legal rights and remedies, believing that knowledge and understanding can enable better enforcement of rights.
Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies, in collaboration with the esteemed AZB & Partners, and SCC Online as the Knowledge Partner, will be organizing the 1st edition of the annual Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition on 4th & 5th November 2023.
What Are The Details Of The Event?
- Date of Event: 4th-5th November 2023
- Team Composition: The team includes two speakers and one researcher, and may be accompanied by a Coach/Mentor.
- Last date of Registration: 23rd October 2023
- Registration process:
- All teams shall register themselves provisionally by CLICK HERE.
- The link for final registration shall be made available to teams that qualify to participate in the Oral Rounds.
- Registration Fees:
- The registration fee is Rs. 3000 per team.
- The registration fee shall be payable if the team is shortlisted to participate in the Oral Rounds.
- Payment Details
- Teams that advance to the Oral Rounds shall be required to pay the registration fee of Rs. 3000 to the following account:

- Accommodation: Accommodation shall be provided to all the participants by the organisers for two nights and three days. Local transportation from and to the venue of competition shall also be provided by the organisers. Food on the dates of the Competition will be available for all the participants
- Awards:
- Winner Rs. 2,00,000
- Runner Up: Rs. 1,00,000
- Best Memorial: Rs. 30,000
- Best Speaker: Rs. 30,000
- Best Researcher: Rs. 30,000
- Each member of the Winning and Runners Up team shall be provided 6 monthly complimentary subscription to EBC Learning worth Rs. 14,500 each.
- Each member of the Winning team shall also be provided e-books worth Rs. 5,000 published by EBC (as per moot problem).
- 1 month access to the SCC Online Web Edition valued at Rs. 1,099 each shall be provided to all participants
