About the Theme

The theme for the webinar will be related to the rights affected due to the spread of the new coronavirus all over the world. The state and local governments are taking sweeping actions to halt the spread of the disease and mitigate the public health and economic impact of the outbreak. With all these, no one should forget their rights.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced local, state, and federal governments worldwide to take urgent action to protect public health. This includes implementing orders that require people to stay home as a way to help combat the spread of the deadly virus.

Repressive regimes have responded to the pandemic in ways that serve their political interests, often at the expense of public health and basic freedoms. Even open societies face pressure to accept restrictions that may outlive the crisis and have a lasting effect on liberty. So, everyone around should know their rights and should not get exploited.
