Posted by Lex Infinitum- International Dispute Resolution Competition 2016 will begin on the 2nd of March 2016 at V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, Goa.
The Competition sessions will commence on Thursday, 3rd March 2016. The Finals will be held on Saturday, 5th March 2016.
The Competition is open to all students of Law Schools/Colleges/Institutes.
Each team shall comprise 3 members- 2 negotiators and 1 mediator. Each Team may nominate a single coach.
Each Institute can register only one Team in the Competition. Registration opens on the 10th of December 2015.
Interested Institutes must send a brief profile of the college with a special emphasis on the ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) activities conducted by the college viz. participation of students in ADR competitions, ADR courses offered by the Institute, etc. to the Selection Committee at the following email: contact@lexinfinitum.in
The Selection Committee will shortlist a total of 24 Colleges/Institutes and post the names on the official website by the 5th of January 2016 and communicate the same to the shortlisted participants.
Registration
The proposed Teams must then complete the Registration process and pay the Registration fee by the 15th of January 2016 failing which they will forfeit their spot in the Competition.
The registration fee will be 300 USD for International Teams.
The registration fee will be Rs.8000 for National Teams.
The Teams will be provided with three different problems which will be made available on the official website shortly.
Each Negotiating Team must submit a Mediation Plan for the Requesting as well as Responding Party (Only Round 1 Problem) by 15th February 2016.
Although the aim of the competition is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information, the students displaying exemplary ADR skills will of course be rewarded.
We have several awards up for grabs including scholarships from WMO.
