Gujarat National Law University is a National Law University established under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 in the state of Gujarat. The university is located at Gandhinagar, which is the capital of Gujarat and is located 23 kilometers north of the city of Ahmedabad.
The University of Cologne is a university in Cologne, Germany. It was the sixth university to be established in Central Europe and, although it closed in 1798 before being re-established in 1919, it is now one of the largest universities in Germany with more than 48,000 students.
About the essay competition
Professor (Dr.) V.S. Mani Memorial National Essay Competition 2019 Supported by Gujarat National Law University & Professor Stephan Hobe, Director Institute of Air and Space Law, University of Cologne.
Recognizing the contribution in shaping and generating discourse on International Law and Air and Space Law in particular, of Professor (Dr.) V. S. Mani, Founding Director of GNLU, a great teacher and researcher, GNLU and Institute of Air and Space Law, University of Cologne, Germany with the generous grant of Professor (Dr.) Stephan Hobe announces the GNLU-University of Cologne Annual Air and Space Law Essay Competition.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all the students pursuing UG/PG (Law) in India.
Theme
The essay should focus on any contemporary aspect of ‘Air and Space Law’
Prizes
1st Prize: ₹ 10,000/-
2nd Prize: ₹ 7,000/-
Date of the Award: Inaugural Day of 4th Edition of GNLU Air and Space Law Academy 2019. All the participants will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation.
