Gautam Buddha University is a research university established under Uttar Pradesh Gautam Buddha University Act, 2002 and came into existence in the year 2008. It is located in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
About the Event
Abhivyanjana (Unity in Diversity), The Annual Cultural Festival of Gautam Buddha University is a majestic two days of the cultural fest. It means to Express the Art. The three days are packed with various cultural and technical events. It is an interactive platform for dynamic youth.
Every year, students from Gautam Buddha University get together to celebrate the spirit of life by participating in various cultural, technical and social events in various dimensions of performing arts. There are solo, duet and group performances like Acro Yoga, Music (Instrumental and Vocal), Dancing, Fashion Show, StandUp Comedy, Painting, Collage Making, Paper Presentation, Debate, Model Making, Skits, Drama.
Drishtikon – The debating society of Gautam Buddha University is organising a national level inter-college debate in Abhivyanjana – the GBU fest on 14, 15, 16 October 2019.
- The debate will be a conventional debate.
- Each college can send a maximum of two teams, one for English and one for Hindi
- Each team will have two participants- one FOR the motion and ONE against the motion.
Motion for Hindi debate is: क्या हमे विद्यालयो में यौन शिक्षा प्रदान करनी चाहिए?
Motion for English debate is: There should be no limit on freedom of speech and expression when it comes to the national interest.
- Each participant will be given 3+1 minutes to speak. There will be a warning bell after 3 minutes, which will be the sign that you must start concluding. After 4 minutes there will be a final bell which will be the time for you to stop.
