The Centre for Advanced Studies in Labour Welfare (CASLW) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law,
Punjab in association with International Justice Mission (IJM), New Delhi is pleased to announce its first
National Essay Writing Competition. The competition aims to provide a platform to law students to
express their views on theme “EXPLOITATION OF LABOUR : SOCIO- LEGAL ASPECTS”

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

The Competition is open to the students who are pursuing LL.B. / LL.B. (Hons.) /LL.M. courses in any
recognized university across the country.

THEME FOR THE ESSAY 

“EXPLOITATION OF LABOUR : SOCIO- LEGAL ASPECTS”
Sub- Themes
 Labour Welfare and Law
 Bonded Labour
 Migrant Labour Trafficking
 Child Labour
 Labour in Unorganised Sector
 Women and Labour Welfare

PRIZES AND CERTIFICATES 

 First Prize – Rs. 7,000/-
 Second Prize – Rs. 5,000/-
 Third Prize – Rs. 3,000/-
The first three winners will be given a monetary prize and certificates will be provided to notableentries that are published.

IMPORTANT DATES

 Last Date of Submissions: 28 February 2016.
 Announcement of Result: Second week of April 2016.
